DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives switch signals from the multiplex network master switch assembly and driver door key cylinder lock or unlock switch signals from the front door lock assembly LH. The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • When using the Techstream with the vehicle power switch off, connect the Techstream to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less until communication between the Techstream and the vehicle begins. Then select Model Code "KEY REGIST" under manual mode and enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry&Start(CAN). While using the Techstream, periodically turn a courtesy light switch on and off at intervals of 1.5 seconds or less to maintain communication between the Techstream and the vehicle.
  • The power door lock control system uses the LIN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power door lock control system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.

READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.

(e) Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU [MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU] AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the M6 front door lock assembly LH connector.

(b) Disconnect the I48 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
