FREEZE FRAME DATA

DESCRIPTION

(a) When a pre-collision system DTC is stored, the forward recognition camera stores the current vehicle (ECU or sensor) state as Freeze Frame Data.

CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision System / Trouble Codes.

Body Electrical > Pre-Collision System > Trouble Codes

(e) According to the Techstream display, select a DTC that stored freeze frame data.

(f) Read the freeze frame data recorded when the DTC was stored.

The value varies according to the possibility of a collision. The pre-collision brake assist request only indicates the status that the assist preparation is necessary. Whether or not the assist control is actually performed is dependent upon how the driver depresses the brake.
