OPERATION CHECK

NOTICE:

When using both Fleet Apps and Infotainment Apps together at the same time, it is not possible to remove only one type of app. By using "Delete all personal data from the head unit", both types of apps will be removed.

LEXUS APP SUITE RESET PROCEDURE (When using Fleet Apps)

(a) Duplicate the problem symptom.

(b) Check for DTCs and repair the systems for which any DTCs are output.

(c) Delete all personal data from the head unit. (Remove the LEXUS App Suite app [Fleet app])

(1) Delete all personal data from the head unit.

NOTICE:

Only perform this step if the customer is present and approves.

(d) Reinstall the LEXUS App Suite app (Fleet app) on the head unit. (If removed.)

(e) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

NOTICE:

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

  • When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery.

    HINT:

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

(1) Record all radio station presets.

(2) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and leave it disconnected for 2 minutes.

(f) Check if the problem symptom has been repaired.

LEXUS APP SUITE RESET PROCEDURE (When using Infotainment Apps)

HINT:

Infotainment Apps are divided by attributes into [Pattern A] or [Pattern B] depending on application.

(a) For Pattern A:

(1) Duplicate the problem symptom.

(2) Check for DTCs and repair the systems for which any DTCs are output.

(3) Check cellular phone compatibility.

  1. Check if the cellular phone/vehicle is compatible (Refer to http://www.lexus.com/Enform/).
  2. If the cellular phone is not compatible, recommend to the customer a compatible cellular phone.

(4) Delete all paired devices from the cellular phone.

  1. The procedure varies based on phone model. Contact the service provider or cellular phone manufacturer if assistance is required.

(5) Remove the LEXUS App Suite app (Companion app) from the phone.

NOTICE:

Only perform this step if the customer is present and approves.

  1. The procedure varies based on phone model. Contact the service provider or cellular phone manufacturer if assistance is required.

(6) Reset the phone.

NOTICE:

Only perform this step if the customer is present and approves.

  1. Turn off the phone and remove the battery for 15 seconds. For instructions on how to reset cellular devices, refer to the appropriate manufacturer's website.

(7) Reinstall the LEXUS App Suite app (Companion app) on the phone. (If removed.)

  1. The procedure varies based on phone model. Contact the service provider or cellular phone manufacturer if assistance is required.

(8) Delete all personal data from the head unit. (Remove the LEXUS App Suite app [Infotainment app])
