Lexus NX: G Sensor Failure (C1647)

DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning sonar ECU assembly communicates with the airbag ECU assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) via CAN communication, and if it is determined that the airbag ECU assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) is malfunctioning, DTC C1647 is stored.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.

HINT:

  • DTC C1647 is stored when a malfunction signal sent from the electronically controlled brake system is detected.
  • If the malfunctioning part has been repaired or replaced before rechecking for DTCs, DTC C1647 will not be output again.
  • If DTC C1647 is output frequently, duplicate the conditions that cause the problem symptoms and perform the inspection again, even though the DTC was not output when rechecking for DTCs.
