INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

CAUTION:

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
  • If the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH was deployed, replace the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH, separate type front seat cushion spring assembly, separate type front seat cushion cover and separate type front seat cushion pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Attach the 3 wire harness clamps to set the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH.

(b) Install the front seat cushion airbag assembly RH with 3 new nuts.

Torque:

5.5 N·m {56 kgf·cm, 49 in·lbf}

CAUTION:

  • The nuts must not be reused.
  • Make sure that the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.

(c) Attach the claw to connect the airbag connector.

(d) Attach the 3 wire harness clamps.

2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

(a) Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and tighten the nut.

Torque:

5.4 N·m {55 kgf·cm, 48 in·lbf}

8. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:

When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

9. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH

11. INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

12. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
