Both of following conditions are met:

  • Power switch is on (IG)
  • After parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, when power switch is first turned on (IG), system cannot communicate with hybrid vehicle control ECU for approx. 4 seconds
  • Hybrid vehicle control ECU
  • CAN communication system
  • Parking brake ECU assembly

Yes

An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the parking brake ECU assembly, operate the electric parking brake switch (integration control and panel assembly), as the parking brake indicator light (red) blinks when the power switch is first turned on (IG).

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK DTC

(a) Turn the power switch off.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch on (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Check for DTC.
