INSTALLATION
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
-
Do not replace the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly with the battery connected and the power switch on (IG).
-
Do not rotate the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly when the following conditions are met: 1) The steering wheel is removed, 2) the battery is connected,and 3) the power switch is on (IG).
-
Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.
PROCEDURE
1. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL HEATER CONTROL ASSEMBLY (w/ Steering Heater)

2. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

3. INSTALL STEERING SHAKE DAMPER
(a) Install the 2 screws and steering shake damper to the steering wheel assembly.
4. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH

6. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
7. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE

8. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
(a) Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft to install the steering wheel assembly.
(b) Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.
Torque:
50 N·m {510 kgf·cm, 37 ft·lbf}
(c) Connect the connector.
(d) Connect the 2 connectors to the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly.
9. INSTALL STEERING PAD
