Lexus NX: Disc cannot be Ejected

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one.

If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:

  • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.
  • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

HINT:

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

PROCEDURE

1.

CHECK OPERATION

(a) Press the disc eject switch of the radio receiver assembly for 5 seconds or more and check that the disc is ejected.

OK:

Disc is ejected.

NG

REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

OK

2.

REPLACE DISC AND RECHECK

(a) Replace the disc with a known good one and check that the malfunction disappears.

OK:

Disc is ejected.

OK

END (DISC IS DEFECTIVE)
