Lexus NX: How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

  • Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the automatic high beam system.
  • *: Use the Techstream.

PROCEDURE

1.

VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2.

INSPECT AUXILIARY BATTERY VOLTAGE

(a) Measure the auxiliary battery voltage with power switch off.

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery before proceeding to the next step.

(b) Check the fuses and relays.

(c) Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.

CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

(b) Clear the DTCs.

(c) Recheck for DTCs by simulating the operation indicated by the DTCs.
